ArtTracks of Palestine, Public Sculpture Installation

Welcome to the 11th annual Palestine ArtTracks Sculpture Show. Dogwood Arts Council, Inc administers this outdoor juried exhibit of work installed on private property throughout downtown Palestine. ArtTracks is viewable by pedestrian and vehicular traffic, and art enthusiasts from the Texas area attend the event.

Up to 10 artists are selected each year for a 2-year placement. The stipend for this two-year period is $1,200 per sculpture, plus the opportunity for cash awards. People's Choice awards: 1st place—$500, 2nd place—$350, and 3rd place—$150. Artists are encouraged to submit work for consideration each year even if they have a piece placed.

Sculptures must be appropriate for outdoor placement, 6 feet or taller, and safe for public and private rights of way. Artists must submit a minimum of 3 images and up to 8 images of each sculpture, including front view, back view, view of base, and artist's choice. Include mounting description and installation instructions. Multiple entries are allowed; entry fee is $35.00 per piece. Only artists displaying their own original works are eligible. Artists are selected by the Dogwood Arts Council Board and will be paired with a location on private property in the downtown area. All images will be retained by Dogwood Arts Council, Inc and may be used for promotion of the event.
