Artists may apply by March 9, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. MST with a $15 non-refundable application fee. Jury results will be sent via email in June 2020.
Applicants must submit 3-4 images representing work in no more than two of the following categories: Representative Painting, Abstract Painting, Sculpture & 3D Objects, Prints (no offset or giclee), Drawing, Photography, Jewelry, Fiber, Glass, and Pottery/Ceramics. Images should be representative of current work completed in the past 5 years and include title, price, medium, and size. An artist statement is required. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Invited artists' 2-D wall-hung artworks are limited to three works, each not exceeding 18 x 18 inches framed/unframed (or 36 inches total height and width combined). 3-D case-displayed artwork is limited to two works, each not exceeding 20 inches in any dimension. Jewelry artists may submit a set of three pieces (one necklace, one bracelet, one pair of earrings) displayed as a set. All artwork must be delivered ready-to-install and dry to the touch. Wall pieces must be equipped with D-rings as hanging devices.
All artwork is for sale during the exhibition. The Albuquerque Museum Foundation retains 40% of the artist's sale price, with 60% paid to the artist. Exclusive purchasing opportunities occur during the Opening Weekend Collectors' Dinner and Saturday Gala on October 22 & 24. Beginning November 2, artwork will be available for purchase through an online shopping cart and the Albuquerque Museum Store. Artists must provide high-quality JPEG images (minimum 72dpi) by September 28, 2020 for online sales. All shipping costs are the artist's responsibility. The Museum will insure artwork while on exhibit; artists are responsible for insurance during shipment and return.
