About This Call
ArtsThrive is the 31st Annual Arts Exhibition and Benefit, held at the Albuquerque Museum (2000 Mountain Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104) from October 9 through December 5, 2021. This is a small format exhibition open to national artists. The application deadline is March 21, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MDT, with a $25 non-refundable entry fee. Artists must submit 3-4 images representing no more than two of the following categories: Representative Painting, Abstract Painting, Sculpture & 3D Objects, Prints (no offset or giclee), Drawing, Photography, Jewelry, Fiber, Glass, and Pottery/Ceramics. Images should be representative of work completed in the past 3-5 years and include title, price, medium, and size. An artist statement is required. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Size limitations apply: 2-D wall-hung artwork is limited to three works, each not exceeding 18 x 18 inches framed/unframed (or 36 inches total height and width combined). 3-D case-displayed artwork is limited to two works, each not exceeding 20 inches in any dimension. Jewelry artists may submit a set of three pieces (one necklace, one bracelet, one pair of earrings) displayed as a set. All artwork is for sale during the exhibition. The Albuquerque Museum Foundation retains 40% of the sale price, with 60% paid to the artist. An Opening Weekend Collectors' Dinner and Saturday Gala are scheduled for October 7 and October 9, 2021, though in-person events may not take place due to COVID-19. Online art sales will be available through an online platform. Artists must provide high-quality JPEG images (minimum 72 dpi) by September 13, 2021 for online sales. Jury results will be sent via email in late June or early July 2021. Artwork must be delivered ready-to-install and dry to the touch. All shipping costs are the artist's responsibility. The Museum will insure artwork while on exhibit; artists are responsible for insurance during shipment and return.
