Artspace111: Texas Juried Exhibition

Artspace111 announces the 7th annual Texas Juried Exhibition, juried by Kristen Gaylord, Assistant Curator of Photographs at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art. The competition is open to 2D and 3D artwork from artists 18 years and older residing in Texas. The exhibition runs June 27 through July 25, 2020, with an opening reception on June 27 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Eligibility requirements: Contemporary original 2D work in any media (painting, prints, drawings, photography, digital images) must not exceed 48" in the longest dimension when framed. Contemporary original 3D work in any media must indicate indoor or outdoor placement; wall-hanging work cannot exceed 48" x 48", free-standing indoor work cannot exceed 6 feet in any dimension, and free-standing outdoor work must include proper base for installation. All work must be original (no reproductions), produced within the last two years, and not previously shown at Artspace111. The digital image submitted must match the physical piece delivered if selected.

Entry fee is $35 for one image, with additional entries at $5.00 each (limit 5 images total). Submit 1-6 images. Cash prizes totaling $5,000 will be awarded, including Best In Show ($2,000) and special jury awards. Best In Show winner receives an opportunity to exhibit at Artspace111 in a solo or group exhibition in 2020-2021. All selected work will be for sale at Artspace111 with a 50% gallery commission. Additionally, all entrants have the opportunity to participate in Artspace111's online shop from July 27 to August 29, 2020, where artists receive 70% of proceeds from sales. Work will be insured at Artspace111 but not in transit. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from the gallery and must ensure work has hardware installed for immediate installation.
