Artspace111: Regional Juried Exhibition

Artspace111 is hosting its 1st annual Regional Juried Exhibition, open to artists 18 years and older residing in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Arkansas. The exhibition will run June 20 through August 15, with an opening reception on June 20 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Jurors are Andrea Karnes, curator at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, and Ron Tyler, former director and curator of the Amon Carter Museum of American Art.

The call accepts contemporary original 2D work in any media including painting, prints, drawings, photography, and digital images. Work should not exceed 48 inches in the longest dimension when framed, must have been produced within the last two years, and must not have been previously shown at Artspace111. Entry fee is $35 for up to three entries, with additional entries at $5.00 each (limit 6 total). Submissions must include 1-3 digital images. The entry deadline is May 30, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notification of acceptance will be sent by June 4.

Selected artists will be invited to exhibit at Artspace111. A Jurors Choice Award of $1,000 will be given, with additional cash prizes awarded. All exhibited work will be available for sale, with the gallery retaining a 50% commission. Work will be insured at the gallery but not in transit. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from the gallery. Accepted work must have D-rings and wire attached to the back for installation. Images of accepted work may be used for promotional purposes and featured in an exhibition catalogue.
