Artspace - Call for Exhibitions

Artspace is seeking innovative work for solo and/or group exhibitions from artists working in all media for Gallery 1 and Gallery 2. Both established and emerging artists are eligible, including artists based throughout the U.S. and international artists. Exhibitions will be scheduled for September 2014 and beyond, typically running for 6-8 weeks with an opening reception during First Friday Gallery Walks. Many exhibits include an artist's talk or demonstration. Exhibits are free and open to the public.

All exhibitions are supported through press, insurance coverage, and small stipends to support the work of artists. Artspace creates a brochure for each exhibition. Works may be for sale; Artspace takes a 30% commission on works sold in the galleries but does not place an emphasis on sales, focusing instead on the educational aspect of exhibitions.

Applicants may submit up to 13 artwork samples (up to 10 images and/or up to 3 videos). All work must be original works of art created by the artist within the last five years. All media are accepted. Application materials must include detailed information with each image (title, medium, dimensions/time, date completed), a description of current work/proposed exhibition, current resume, artist statement, and a $15 application fee.
