About This Call
Public artists from throughout the Midwest are eligible, though there are minimal travel reimbursement funds available. The Arts R Alive Committee is seeking a letter of interest that identifies the artist's qualifications, including a resume, work samples, website, and pictures of work.
The committee will choose up to 3 finalists. Each finalist will be paid $350 to prepare concept and sketch drawings of the proposed piece and provide a detailed budget. Finalists will present their proposals to the committee on June 5, 2019 between 4-7 p.m. in Webster City, Iowa, either in person or via Skype. Motel accommodations for one night and up to $100 in travel reimbursement are available.
A stipend of $9,000 will be paid to the selected artist upon completion and installation of the piece. A contract will be awarded and monies may be paid in installments. Applicants must submit 3-6 images of their work.
