About This Call
The Arts in the Middle Fine Arts Festival takes place June 7 & 8, 2025 at Hewick Plantation, a stroll away from the charming waterfront village of Urbanna, VA. Recognized by The Rivah Magazine as the #3 Best Festival for the last 3 years and featured as a Top 10 Signature Event by Virginia's River Realm Tourism, this juried fine arts festival features over 100 artists from across the country in a majestic tree-shaded exhibit area on the grounds of a stately plantation. The festival attracts arts patrons from Richmond, Williamsburg, Tidewater, Fredericksburg, Northern Virginia, and Washington DC.
The festival accepts work in multiple categories including paintings, drawings, jewelry, ceramics, photography, digital art, graphics/printmaking, sculpture, wood, fiber/leather, glass, mixed media, and other fine arts media. All exhibited works must be original creations of the applying artist. Artists must submit 5 images (4 of representative artwork and 1 booth shot) with a $30 application fee. Professional 10'x10' white top tents with secure weights are required, and spacious booth sizes include storage areas behind.
The event features impressive live music on two stages, hand-crafted local food, craft beer, wine, and the popular Champagne Tent. Additional amenities include on-site artist support, complimentary coffee and pastries, water delivery, security, artist reception with awards ceremony at 5:30 Saturday, and a Host Home program for overnight accommodations. Booth fees are $200 for single booths ($400 for double) and must be paid by March 27. This is a rain or shine event with artist and public parking steps away from the show entrance.
