Arts Elevated at RST 2024

The Rochester International Airport and the Greater Rochester Arts and Cultural Trust are partnering on "Arts Elevated at RST," a program to provide an enhanced airport experience and showcase Minnesota and regional artists. The program aims to lift spirits and provide comfort and care to customers through dynamic visual experiences that enhance sense of place and connection to the local community. Artwork will be displayed in the main terminal, where passengers spend an average of 90 minutes.

This exhibition is open to all Minnesota and regional artists with no entry application fee. Artists may submit up to 3 original 2D artworks in any media, with images submitted in high-resolution JPEG format. Each submission will be juried independently. Works may not exceed 48" tall and 48" wide and must be professionally presented and ready for secure installation. Framed pieces must be equipped with stretched wire; gallery wrap finished edges are acceptable. Subject matter is open, though survey data indicates preference for local and Minnesota content.

Selected artwork will be displayed for ten months. If sold during this period, the Rochester International Airport receives a 20% commission. Artists must sign a consignment agreement. Due to legal concerns, shipping is not available; artists must drop off and pick up artwork at the airport by appointment Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm. Artwork should include title, artist name, medium, dimensions, and price. Jurying and artist notification will be completed by the week of December 11, 2023, with artwork delivery scheduled for December 15-22, 2023.
