Arts Council of Wayne County 41st National Juried Art Show

The Arts Council of Wayne County invites artists to submit work for the 41st National Juried Art Show. Open to all artists 18 years and older. All work must be original, created within the past two years, and not previously exhibited at the Arts Council of Wayne County. A maximum of 5 works may be submitted. Entry fee is $50 (non-refundable) for up to 5 works.

Acceptable mediums include paintings, graphics, sculptures, ceramics, textiles, mixed media, and photography. All work must be framed, wired, and ready for hanging or otherwise suitably prepared for exhibition. No work may exceed 4 feet in any direction. Sculptures must be portable by not more than two persons and weigh less than 100 lbs. All work must be for sale. The Arts Council will retain 35% commission on sales.

Entries will be judged digitally through callforentry.org. Artists notified of acceptance or rejection by September 24. Accepted works should arrive at the Arts Council between September 24 and October 13, 2020. The opening reception is October 23 at 6pm, with the gallery exhibit running October 23 through November 24. Prize winners will be announced at the opening reception. Prizes range from $100 to $1,000 top prize, awarded by the juror based solely on merit. Honorable mentions will be awarded at the juror's discretion. Pickup of unsold works is November 25-28 from 10am-2pm, or November 30 from 10am-2pm. The Arts Council will exercise best possible care in handling all works but will not be held responsible for any damage or loss. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements to and from the Arts Council of Wayne County, including shipping insurance.
