Arts Council of Wayne County 40th National Juried Art Show

The Arts Council of Wayne County presents its 40th National Juried Art Show, open to all artists 18 years and older. Artists may submit up to 4 original works created within the past two years. All work must be for sale. Entry fee is $40 (non-refundable) for up to 4 works.

Acceptable mediums include paintings, graphics, sculptures, ceramics, textiles, mixed media, and photography. All work must be framed, wired, and ready for hanging or otherwise suitably prepared for exhibition. No work may exceed 4 feet in any direction. Sculptures must be portable by not more than two persons and weigh less than 100 lbs. Work will not be accepted if it requires special installation or care.

Prizes include $1,000 Best in Show, $500 Second Prize, $250 Third Prize, $100 Best in Wayne County, and $100 People's Choice Award. Prize winners will be announced at the opening reception on October 4th at 6pm. The juror will give a brief presentation on each piece before awarding prizes. Honorable mentions will be awarded at the juror's discretion. Entries will be judged digitally. Artists notified of acceptance or rejection by September 16th. Accepted work must be delivered to the Arts Council of Wayne County between September 16th and October 1st. The exhibition runs October 4 through November 15, 2019. The ACWC will retain 35% commission on sales. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. The ACWC will not be held responsible for any damage or loss. Unsold works must be picked up by November 20th or become the property of the Arts Council of Wayne County.
