Arts Council of Big Sky Auction for the Arts 2023

The Auction for the Arts is the primary fundraiser for the Arts Council of Big Sky. Proceeds support the organization's adapted music, public art, and arts education programs that serve the Big Sky Montana community. The auction creates an opportunity for artists to gain income while accessing Big Sky's growing community of art collectors.

The 2023 Auction for the Arts will be held on Thursday, March 2nd at The Montage luxury resort in Big Sky, MT. The event includes both live and silent auction components, with in-person bidding and a virtual bidding component. Silent auction items will be available for online bidding beginning earlier in the week. The event features introductions from the Arts Council, quick finishes, heavy hors d'oeuvres, beverages, and live entertainment.

Original artwork in all mediums are accepted, including photography and printmaking with edition numbers. No copies, derivative, or appropriated artworks will be accepted. Artists may submit up to three different pieces in separate applications, with a maximum of 3 images per submission. The deadline for applications is Friday, November 18th, 2022. Artists will be notified of selection by Friday, December 16th, 2022. All artwork must be delivered to the Arts Council no later than February 10th, 2023. This is a no-risk auction; unsold artwork will be returned to the artist without additional costs. Artists determine their contribution percentage and can opt to give 50%, 75%, or 100% of the sale price to the Arts Council.
