About This Call
Studio Channel Islands Arts Alive is an art festival held May 27-28, 2017 at Studio Channel Islands, 2222 Ventura Blvd, Camarillo CA 93010. The festival runs May 27th 10am-5pm and May 28th 11am-4pm. Arts Alive features over 100 artists, art studios, and art organizations across 8 acres, and is the largest art festival in Ventura County. The event includes live music, food trucks, entertainment, wine and beer gardens with premium local wines and microbrews. Free admission and parking are provided.
Artists in all mediums are eligible, including 2D and 3D mixed media, ceramics, digital art, drawing, fiber, functional art, glass, jewelry, painting, performance, photography, printmaking, sound art, sculpture, woodwork, and others. The application fee is $15, with a booth fee of $150 for a 10x10 space (does not include tent or rental display materials). Applicants must submit three images of their work, one image of their display if applicable, and an artist statement describing materials. The entry deadline is April 15, 2017, with final notification sent within 5 days of the deadline.
Artist amenities include vendor parking, on-site restrooms, extensive festival marketing and promotion, confirmation packet with booth number and vendor instructions, low flat booth fee with no commission, and a suggested 10% donation to Studio Channel Islands. Tents, tables, chairs, and display units may be rented from SCI. Camarillo business license and liability insurance are paid for by Arts Alive. The festival is also seeking artists interested in doing artist talks, presentations, demonstrations, or performances. Contact [email protected] with proposals.
