ArtPop Peoria 2019

ArtsPartners of Central Illinois announces a call for entries to the fifth annual ArtPop Peoria, which features local artists' work on Adams Outdoor 48' x 14' billboards seen by thousands of local residents. This represents approximately $35,750 in free advertising awarded to each winning artist. Winning artists will be featured at CIAO First Friday at The Studios on Sheridan gallery and on the ArtsPartners website. ArtPop Peoria is part of the national ArtPop Street Gallery program, and winners will receive marketing support, guidance, and recognition from the national program.

Eligibility requirements: You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Peoria, Tazewell, or Woodford counties. You must have an active online presence specific to promoting and/or selling your art. You may not have been selected as an ArtPop artist in the last three years (ArtPop artists from 2015 are welcome to reapply). All art is subject to approval, and no offensive or slanderous work will be accepted. Submissions must be the work of one individual or entity; collaborations are not accepted. Your work must fit the correct proportions of a 48' x 14' billboard. 3D and performance artists may enter if they can photographically represent their work.

Submissions deadline is February 24, 2019. Submit up to 3 pieces with a $20 processing fee. Each image must be JPEG format, 1920 pixels x 500 pixels, 72 ppi/dpi, maximum 5 MB. Include a brief artist statement explaining your medium, listing your website URL and related online accounts, and explaining why you want to participate. Five winning artists will be announced via press release in early March and honored at the ArtPop Peoria Winner's Reception on April 10, 2019. Winning artists' work will be displayed from June 2019 to June 2020 on billboards with rotating locations throughout the region. Winning artists must provide production files at 24.333" w x 6.333" h @300 dpi (7300x1900 pixels) in JPEG format, 300 dpi, CMYK color mode.
