ArtPop CLT Region | Class of 2022

ArtPop Street Gallery is seeking 20 artists to display their work on billboards throughout the Charlotte region for a 12-month period. Selected artists will have their artwork displayed on 672 square feet of billboard space provided by Adams Outdoor Advertising, reaching thousands of people daily. In addition to billboard placement, each selected artist receives an Uptown newsstand display for 6 months and digital displays at 5 mixed-use developments in the region. This advertising space represents approximately $6 million in annual value to the 20 selected artists.

Applicants must reside in one of the following NC/SC counties: Cabarrus, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Rutherford, Stanly, Union, York (SC), or Lancaster (SC). Applicants must be either an adult artist 18 years or older with an active artist website, or a high school senior planning to study the arts in higher education. Previous ArtPop artists from 2014-2018 are welcome to reapply; however, artists selected in the previous 3 years cannot apply. All submitted artwork must be original work created within the last three years, and collaborations are not accepted.

Submissions consist of one artwork image cropped to 24" x 5.5" rectangle specifications (maximum 5MB file size). A jury of art professionals, collectors, and ArtPop alumni will select 20 submissions. Selected artists will be notified by November 13, 2021. Entry fees are $30 for adults and $10 for high school students. If selected, artists must submit a 300 dpi image in CMYK color mode for production, add a clickable link to ArtPopStreetGallery.com on their website, and make one social media post per month featuring @artpopstreetgallery and #ArtPopCLT. Selected artists are invited to the 9th Annual Reveal Event on December 2, 2021.
