ArtPop Cities Program Class of 2024

ArtPop Street Gallery is seeking 20 artists for the 2024 ArtPop program. Selected artists will have their work displayed on printed vinyl billboards across the Charlotte region for a 12-month period (January 1 - December 31, 2024), as well as on digital displays through media partners including Awedience Media and Lamar Advertising. This advertising space represents $7 million+ in annual value to participating artists.

Applicants must reside in one of the following counties: Cabarrus, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Rutherford, Stanly, or Union (NC), or York, Lancaster, or Chester (SC). Eligible applicants are either: (1) adult artists 18 years or older with an active artist website (Etsy and Instagram do not qualify), or (2) high school seniors in the 2023-2024 academic year planning to study the arts in higher education. Applicants cannot have been selected as an ArtPop artist in the previous 3 years, though artists from 2014-2020 classes may reapply. All submitted artwork must be original work created within the last three years by a single individual; collaborations are not accepted.

Submissions consist of one artwork piece cropped to 24"L x 7"H rectangle specifications. Files cannot exceed 5MB. Work depicting brands/logos, copyrighted materials, nude subjects, slanderous content, political/religious causes, or groups will not be accepted. AI-generated work is not accepted. Entry fees are $30 for adults and $10 for high school students. A blind jury of art professionals will select the 20 artists. Selected artists will be notified by November 13, 2023. If selected, artists must sign an artist agreement and comply with program requirements including providing a 300 dpi image, adding a clickable link to ArtPopStreetGallery.com on their website, and making one social media post per month featuring @artpopstreetgallery and #ArtPopCLT. Selected artists are invited to the 11th Annual Reveal Event on December 7, 2023. All disciplines are welcome.
