ArtPop Beaufort

ArtPop is a program that promotes local artists' work through available billboard space in the greater Beaufort area. The program is made possible by generous donations of space from Adams Outdoor Advertising in partnership with the Beaufort Arts Council. Selected artwork will be displayed on vinyl and rotated across available locations in the Adams Outdoor Beaufort coverage area for approximately one year.

Eligibility: Artists must be at least 18 years old and live in Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton, or Colleton counties. Artwork must be original, created by the submitting artist within the last two years, and appropriate for public viewing. Artists who have won in prior years are not eligible. All media is acceptable; artists working in 3D should note that artwork will be photographed and shown in 2D.

Ten winners will be selected through jury judging based on execution and technique, personal expression, organization, integration, and appropriateness for public viewing. Winning artists will give all reproduction and photographic rights for their artwork to the Beaufort Arts Council. Submissions must be made digitally through BeaufortArtsCouncil.org and include up to 3 images (1920px wide by 896px high, 72 PPI, .JPG or .PDF format, RGB color, not exceeding 5MB per image), an artist statement, and resume/biography. Winning artists will be required to resubmit artwork at minimum 300 DPI and CMYK color format for vinyl print reproduction. Judging will take place in late January with winners announced prior to February 15, 2017.
