ARTOUTDOORAV Billboard Project

The Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH) is launching the #ARTOUTDOORAV Billboard Project, a joint campaign between Lamar Advertising, MOAH, and the Lancaster Museum and Public Art Foundation (LMPAF). The exhibition runs from Monday, October 16, 2017 to Sunday, November 12, 2017. Selected artists will have the opportunity to exhibit their artwork on two billboards at selected locations in and around the City of Lancaster and greater Antelope Valley region. This special outdoor exhibition will include 10 artists on a total of 20 billboards.

Eligibility is open to local artists and those who reside in the 5th Supervisorial District of Los Angeles County or within specified ZIP codes. Works must have been completed within the last three years and not previously exhibited at MOAH or MOAH:CEDAR. The call is open to artists working in photography, painting, drawing, and mixed media 2D. Artists must be 18 years or older. A panel of jurors including representatives from MOAH's curatorial staff, the LMPAF board of directors, and Lamar Advertising management will review submissions and select artworks for exhibition. Billboard output will be in landscape orientation, and submissions should be able to scale to 10' 5" x 22' 8".

Entry deadline is Friday, September 15, 2017 at 5 PM PST. Only online submissions via callforentries.org (CaFE) will be accepted. Entry fee is $25 for one entry, with each additional entry at $20. Artists will be notified of accepted work(s) by email between Monday, September 18, 2017 and Wednesday, September 20, 2017, and must deliver accepted works electronically immediately upon notification. Maps to billboard locations will be available on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at MOAH, MOAH:CEDAR, and on MOAH's website.
