About This Call

Ellington-White Contemporary Gallery (EWCG) in collaboration with Fayetteville State University (FSU) invites current and former Visual Art Education Professionals to submit entries for this national juried exhibition to showcase the arts as an essential part of a complete education. The exhibition celebrates the impact of visual arts and the message that "the Arts matter."

This is an online-only, fourteen-week juried exhibition running from Monday, September 16th through Saturday, December 21, 2024. Artists may submit a maximum of three original works of art completed within the last three years that have not been exhibited before in Cumberland County or in any of the gallery's virtual exhibitions. The entry fee is $35 for up to three images. Eligibility is open to all professional artists who are current or former art educators. Work must be original and not previously exhibited in Cumberland County, NC, the Fayetteville State University Rosenthal Gallery, the Arts Council Fayetteville/Cumberland County, or Ellington-White Contemporary Art Gallery (onsite or online).

Artists retain 100% of profits from artwork sales and retain full ownership rights. The gallery will direct buyers to artists via email or website. Artists are asked to notify the gallery if work sells elsewhere so it can be marked as SOLD. Awards include a People's Choice Award and Honorable Mentions. Jurors are Vickie Rhoda, Artist and Professor of Art Education at Fayetteville State University, and Dwight Smith, Artist, Curator and Associate Professor of Visual Arts at Fayetteville State University. Submissions are accepted via CaFE beginning July 15, 2024, with a deadline of September 3, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
