Artist's Vision

Accepted artwork will be shown in the Marin Society of Artists main gallery in San Rafael, CA from February 6 through February 29, 2020. Open to all United States resident artists 18 and over. Artists are invited to submit digital images of up to ten original works not previously shown in a Marin Society of Artists juried exhibition. Accepted media includes painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, digital art, art of the book, fiber art, fine art crafts, and ceramics. Video, film, and installations are not accepted.

Entry fees are $35 for three pieces ($30 for MSA members), with an additional $7 per piece up to ten total pieces. Diptychs and triptychs count as one piece. Artwork size limitations: 2D work not to exceed 60" in height or width including frame, with total weight not exceeding 25 pounds; 3D work not to exceed 48"x48" and cannot exceed 50 pounds. Waivers can be requested. Digital entries must be received via CaFE by Friday, December 27, 2019 before midnight Mountain Time. Images must be in jpeg or jpg format, 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side, and under 5 MB.

Acceptance notifications will be sent by email by January 11, 2020, with an online list of accepted artwork posted on the MSA website. Awards include First Place ($500), Second Place ($300), Third Place ($100), and non-monetary Honorable Mention awards at the juror's discretion. The juror is Carol Tarzier. Artwork can be shipped (must arrive by January 31, 2020) or hand-delivered (February 2-3, 2020). All shipped artwork will be returned during the week of March 2, 2020. Hand-delivered work can be picked up March 1-2, 2020. By submitting work, artists authorize MSA to sell pieces at the submitted price, with MSA retaining a 40% commission for non-members and 30% for members.
