Artists of the Upstate Juried Exhibition

The 2021 Artists of the Upstate Juried Exhibition is a local art exhibition presented by Artisphere, supported by a grant from the Metropolitan Arts Council. It is open to artists 18+ living in Upstate South Carolina (Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Pickens, Oconee, Greenwood, Laurens, Cherokee, Union, Abbeville counties). Entries must be original works of art completed within the last three years. The exhibition is not judged in media categories. Due to Covid-19, the exhibition may be virtual this year. Accepted artists will be featured on the Artisphere website and shared on Artisphere's social media channels.

A non-refundable entry fee of $30 enables each artist to enter up to two works. Submit one digital image per work in .jpg format not exceeding 5 MB, correctly oriented. The deadline to apply is April 9, 2021. Notification of acceptance will be emailed on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.

Four cash prizes will be awarded: Best in Show ($1,000), 2nd Place ($750), 3rd Place ($500), and Merit Award ($250). The juror is William Downs, a contemporary American artist based in Atlanta, GA, born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. Event dates are May 7-9, 2021.
