Artists of the Rise: Technology Enabled Traveling Museum + Gallery Exhibit

Artists of the Rise is a community-centered, technology-forward art initiative dedicated to fostering engagement through art by giving voice to themes of resilience, identity, and social unity. This call for entries invites visual artists to submit works that express their personal vision, connect with diverse audiences, and explore the importance of cultural roots and shared experiences. The program is especially interested in pieces that encourage reflection, spark conversation, and celebrate diversity.

Participating artists will showcase their work in a widely accessible setting powered by a unique art technology system that captures direct audience engagement. Selected works will tour with Near Field Communication (NFC) gallery tags that enable audiences to provide feedback directly to the artist and purchase prints and textured 3D replicas. Artists receive 60% of all revenue generated from print sales and 3D replica sales. The entire collection will be hosted online and backed by a significant marketing budget to engage nationwide audiences.

Artists may submit 1 or 2 artworks per submission. Standard application fee is $40 per submission; mural submissions are $80. Work samples should include 5-10 images, up to 1 audio file, and up to 2 video files (5-13 total samples). Each artwork must be accompanied by a written story, audio file, or video file describing the piece from the artist's perspective. Canvas-style submissions must be 30" x 40" or smaller (24" x 36" preferred). All mediums welcome that can be digitized via flatbed scanner, including oils, acrylic, pastels, watercolor, spray paint, paper, wood, metal, and glass. Highly textured works are encouraged. Murals have no size limit and will be digitized via drone scanner. Works must be delivered to Denver unframed. Sculptures, digital media, and video are not eligible. Open to all artists, emerging and established. Entry deadline: 2/28/25 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
