About This Call
The 24th Annual ANA Regional Juried Art Exhibition is a regional competition hosted by the Artists of Northwest Arkansas to support the work of regional artists. The exhibition will be held at Art Ventures, 101 W Mountain, Fayetteville, Arkansas, from September 6-28, 2018. The primary goal is to acknowledge, promote and encourage artists in multiple media and disciplines.
Eligibility is open to any artist 18 years of age or older currently living in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Texas, and Oklahoma. A maximum of five entries per artist may be submitted. Work must be original, completed in the last 3 years, and not previously shown in this exhibit or in prior ANA juried exhibitions. All 2- and 3-dimensional media are eligible, including Drawing/Pastel, Mixed Media, Oil, Photography/Digital Art, Water Media, and 3D Sculpture. Video entries, performance art, and installation art are not accepted. Reproduced drawings or paintings will not be accepted; originals only. For 2-D work, the maximum size is 2304 square inches (48" x 48"). Sculpture is limited to 100 lbs. All framed art must have screw eyes or D-rings with strong wire attached and be ready to hang.
The entry fee is $50.00 for the first three entries, with an additional $10.00 fee for each additional entry up to a maximum of five entries. Members of the Artists of Northwest Arkansas receive a reduced fee of $40.00 for the first three entries. Three non-member jurors will select pieces for the exhibition, with no more than one work of art from any entrant accepted. Cash awards and merchandise gift certificates totaling over $10,000 will be awarded, including Best of Show ($2,000), First ($1,500), Second ($1,000), and Third ($750). Selected artists will receive a copy of the exhibition catalog. Digital images must be at least 72 dpi and no less than 2MB in size. Accepted artwork must be shipped with prepaid return shipping or hand-delivered. Sales will be facilitated by Art Ventures with a 40% commission retained on all sales.
