Artists Honor Caspersen: A Benefit National Exhibit

This exhibition honors Caspersen Beach in Venice, Florida, and is open to artists who have painted with Venice Plein Air anytime between January 1, 2003 and January 15, 2025. Artists who painted with another painting group at a dual gathering along with VPA are also eligible. No membership is required.

All painting subject matter must depict Caspersen Beach Venice Florida, including landscape, shore birds, skyscapes, figures, or other interpretations as the artist feels best honors the location. Entries must be original 2D works in acrylic, oil, gouache, watercolor, pastel, conte, or drawing media. Digital artwork, photography, and work from copyrighted photographs or references are not accepted. Artwork must be professionally presented in quality framing or gallery-wrapped canvas, with dimensions between 8x6" minimum and 48x36" maximum. All work must be for sale (no NFS). Juried entries must meet quality requirements or the gallery reserves the right not to hang them.

Awards include Best of Show, Best Depiction of Caspersen, Judges Choice, Gallery Choice, and People's Choice Awards in Plein Air and Studio from Plein Air categories. Revenue is split as follows: Artists 50%, CGF 30%, VABI 20%. People's Choice Awards are 50/50 monetary splits between artists and VABI. Submit high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images should show only the artwork without visible matting, frames, or background.
