Artist's Choice

The Rhode Island Watercolor Society invites artists to submit work for the Artist's Choice exhibition, taking place both online and in person at the gallery in Pawtucket, RI from August 6th through September 9th. The show opening reception date will be announced. Notification of acceptance will be sent July 7th.

Eligibility is open to all artists in the United States working in 2D media, excluding photography and digital art. Acceptable mediums include watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oils, ink, casein, and egg tempera on any 2D surface. Work must not have been exhibited in a previous Rhode Island Watercolor Society juried show, must have been completed within the last 10 years, and may not exceed 42 inches on the longest side including frame. Work must be the sole creation of the artist and may not be copied from copyrighted material. Artwork should be presented professionally in frames under glass or Plexiglas, wired with no visible wire or hanger.

Submit 1-3 digital images with an entry fee of $20 for non-members or $15 for members. Drop-off dates are July 7th through August 4th (Thursdays & Fridays 10am-4pm, Saturdays 10am-3pm; closed the week of July 21st). Artwork may also be shipped to: Rhode Island Watercolor Society, 831 Armistice Blvd., Pawtucket, RI 02861. Include a pre-paid return label and send tracking information to [email protected].
