About This Call
This is an invitation to Black and Afro-Latino artists for the in-person 2024 MPAC Exhibit "Traditions and Transitions," which will open January 17, 2024 through March 3, 2024 at the Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) in Morristown, NJ.
The exhibition seeks art that reflects both traditional approaches in genre and subject matter as well as work that steps beyond prescribed media and representational styles of expression. This includes still life, portrait, landscape, and fiber art, as well as optical art, abstract expressionistic and non-objective styles, among others. Submissions should include hi-res images of your work, title, date created, dimensions, weight, medium, and price or NFS (Not for Sale). Please keep the size and weight of your piece in mind when submitting, as larger, heavier pieces may not be selected due to space limitations.
All selected art must have a sturdy and properly placed wire affixed and be ready to hang upon arrival. Fiber art should arrive with a sleeve on back and hanging rods for ease of hanging. The MPAC Exhibition is a heavily publicized event with every effort made by Art in the Atrium to sell the artwork on display. Eligible artists are Black or Afro-Latino. Contact: [email protected]
