Artists as Catalysts for Social Change

Art is a powerful means for bringing awareness, sparking conversation and accelerating changes in culture and society. This juried exhibition seeks visual work that provides new perspectives, shatters stereotypes, highlights the invisible, increases awareness, promotes social justice, ignites discourse, and inspires activism. Artists are invited to use their work to speak out on issues close to their hearts.

The in-person exhibition will feature 2D and 3D works in any medium, including Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Collage, Textile, Glass, Photography, Sculpture, Video and Installation Art. Selected works will be exhibited at the LACA Gallery in Ludington and promoted on the organization's Facebook page. Artwork does not need to be for sale. Exhibition dates are October 3–31, 2025. Jury dates are September 1–4, 2025, with artist notification by September 5, 2025. Artwork must arrive at the gallery no later than September 27, 2025.

Up to two works may be submitted for a $30 entry fee (non-refundable). An Artist Statement of 200 words or less is required for each piece submitted and will be displayed during the exhibit. The exhibition is open to all artists 18 years and older, national and international. No reproductions or derivatives of original art are accepted. Artists are responsible for shipping artwork to and from the gallery in Ludington, MI. Submission deadline is August 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
