About This Call
Artistry, a multi-discipline nonprofit arts organization based in Bloomington, MN, is accepting exhibit proposals for their 2024 exhibition program. Emerging and established artists, artist groups, and exhibit curators residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin who are 18 years or older are invited to submit proposals. All visual art mediums are eligible except film. There is no entry fee to apply. Proposals must be received by March 31, 2022, and applicants will be notified by May 31, 2022, of the curatorial review panel's decision.
Proposals will be reviewed based on quality of artwork and artistic excellence, creativity and originality, technical skills, and overall exhibition proposal. Selected artists may be combined to create a small group show or chosen for a solo exhibition. Artistry seeks to increase diversity among exhibiting artists and encourages BIPOC artists to apply.
All proposals must include an artist statement or proposal description of 1000 characters or less, 10 digital artwork samples saved as standard JPEGs (1200 pixels on longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, under 5 MB file size), and information about each work sample including title, medium, size, and date of completion. An optional resume or biographical summary (one page maximum) may be included. Artists currently enrolled in an undergraduate level art program are ineligible. Artists who have exhibited in a solo or small group exhibition at Artistry in the past two years are ineligible. Artists do not need to be members of Artistry to propose or exhibit.
