Artistry's Annual Call for Artists - 2023 Exhibition Program

Artistry, a multi-discipline nonprofit arts organization based in Bloomington, MN, is accepting exhibit proposals for their 2023 exhibition program. Emerging and established artists, artist groups, and exhibit curators residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin who are 18 years or older are invited to submit proposals. All visual art mediums are eligible.

Proposals must be received by March 31, 2021, and a $25 non-refundable application fee is required. Applicants will be notified by May 31, 2021, of the curatorial panel's decision. Proposals will be reviewed based on quality of artwork/artistic excellence, creativity and originality, technical skills, and overall exhibition proposal. Selected artists may be combined to create a small group show or chosen for a solo exhibition.

All proposals must include: an artist statement or proposal description of 1000 characters or less, 10 digital artwork samples saved as JPEGs (1200 pixels or more on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, under 5 MB file size), information about each work sample (title, medium, size, date of completion), and an optional resume or biographical summary (one page maximum). Groups with more than 5 artists must include a group description in place of a bio. Artists currently enrolled in an undergraduate art program are ineligible. Artists who have exhibited in a solo or small group exhibition at Artistry in the past two years are ineligible. Artists do not need to be Artistry members to propose or exhibit.
