About This Call
Artistry Theater and Visual Arts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization based in Bloomington, MN, is accepting exhibit proposals for their 2025-2026 exhibition program year. Emerging and established artists, artist groups, and exhibit curators residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin who are 18 years or older are invited to submit proposals. All visual art mediums are eligible. There is no entry fee to apply.
Proposals must be received by November 3, 2024. Each year Artistry presents approximately five exhibitions in each the Inez Greenberg Gallery and the Atrium Gallery. Proposals will be reviewed by a curatorial panel based on quality of artwork/artistic excellence, creativity and originality, technical skills, and overall exhibition proposal. Selected artists may be combined to create a small group show or chosen for a solo exhibition. Applicants will be notified by November 27, 2024, of the curatorial panel's decision. Artistry seeks to increase the diversity of its exhibiting artists and encourages BIPOC artists to apply.
Applications must include an artist statement or proposal description of 1000 characters or less, 8-12 digital artwork samples as JPEGs (1200 pixels on longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, under 5 MB file size), and information about each work sample including title, medium, size, and date of completion. One video may be attached. An optional resume or biographical summary (one page maximum) may be included. Groups of more than 5 artists must include a group description in place of a bio. Eligibility: Artists must be 18 or older; currently enrolled undergraduate art students are ineligible; artists who have exhibited in a solo or small group exhibition at Artistry in the past two years are ineligible; artists who have shown in the Annual Members' Juried Art Exhibition are eligible to apply.
