Artist on the Rise | Traveling Museum Exhibit + Paid Artist Royalties Prints and Replicas

This call for entries is a unique opportunity for visual artists to participate in a community-centered, technology-forward art initiative. Artists of the Rise is dedicated to fostering engagement through art by giving voice to themes of resilience, identity, and social unity. Through this public exhibition, artists are encouraged to submit works that express their personal vision, connect with diverse audiences, and explore the importance of cultural roots and shared experiences.

Participating artists will have a chance to showcase their work in a widely accessible setting powered by a unique art technology system that captures direct audience engagement. Each work will tour with Near Field Communication (NFC) gallery tags that enable audiences to provide feedback directly to the artist. Viewers can purchase prints and textured 3D replicas of the work directly via the tagging system, with 60% of all revenue generated from the program being returned to the artist. The entire collection will be hosted online and backed by a significant marketing budget to engage nationwide audiences.

The program includes the option to submit murals. ArtDrop will deploy a high-resolution drone scanner to digitize the mural in your city, and it will be crafted into a unique print that captures the material the mural was painted on, which can then provide ongoing revenue to the artist via print sales online and in galleries around the country. Entry fee is $40 for standard submissions and $80 for murals. Artists may submit 1 or 2 artworks, with each piece evaluated separately. Work samples should include 5-10 images, 0-1 audio file, and 0-2 video files (5-13 total samples). All mediums welcome that can be digitized via flatbed scanner. Highly textured works are encouraged. Works must be delivered to Denver unframed. Sculptures, digital media, and video cannot be considered. Open to all artists, emerging and established.
