Artist INC Spring 2011

KCArtistLink is accepting applications for the fifth round of Artist INC, a professional development program for artists of all disciplines. The program runs on Monday nights from February 28 through April 12, 2011, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Limited to 25 participants per session, artists attend one night a week for eight weeks to learn business skills specific to their art practice and apply those skills cooperatively with their peers. The program uses artist facilitator mentoring, small group application activities, and large group discussion with multi-media lecture.

If selected, there is a $140 participant fee. The program is heavily subsidized, and participants are required to attend all eight sessions, barring illness or emergency. The schedule consists of 8 Monday evenings: February 28, March 7, 14, 21, and 28, and April 4 and 11, 2011.

Submit your completed application, resume or CV, and work samples (up to 4 images) by 5 pm, Friday, December 10, 2010. Applications may be submitted online or directly to the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City, with online applications strongly preferred. Applicants will be notified of decisions in mid-January.
