Artist INC Live Spring 2013

Artist INC Live is a training seminar addressing the business needs and challenges artists of all disciplines face. Limited to 25 participants per session, artists gather for one night a week for eight weeks to learn business skills specific to their art practice and apply those skills cooperatively with their peers. Using an innovative class design, artists learn and grow together through artist facilitator mentoring, small group application activities, as well as large group discussion and multi-media lecture. Now in its fifth year, the Artist INC workshop has been completed by more than 250 Kansas City artists.

Seminar sessions are held on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at the UMKC Innovation Center, 4747 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO 64110. Spring 2013 dates: February 11, 18, 25; March 4, 18, 25; April 1, 8. Selected artists must attend all sessions barring illness or emergency.

Applicants must complete the application form, answer narrative questions, and submit a resume/CV and digital work samples (up to 4 images, 4 audio files, and/or 4 video files). Applicants must be at least 18 years old, live within an 80 mile radius of downtown Kansas City, and are not eligible if currently a student.
