About This Call

Artist Commons is a year-long, online development program for early- and mid-career visual artists. Selected artists are placed into small cohorts with mentors, meet weekly for crits and discussions, and attend program-wide lectures on art history, studio practice, craft, and the business of art.

The program is fully online with occasional in-person meetups in select cities. Program activities include small cohorts, dedicated mentors, feedback sessions, one-on-one crits, weekly lectures, craft workshops, writing clinics, visiting artists, portfolio reviews, reading discussions, opportunity listings, and in-person meetups.

The program runs from January 18, 2026 through December 19, 2026. The submission deadline is January 17, 2026. The program is open to international artists working in craft/traditional arts, photography, drawing, film/video/new media, mixed-media/multi-discipline, painting, and sculpture. For more information, visit artistcommons.art or follow @artist_commons on social media.
