About This Call
Artist Alliance members are invited to submit their artwork for consideration in a public critique session at Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA). This in-depth and constructive critique is aimed at full-time professional artists or artists hoping to launch a career as a full-time artist.
Artists should submit 3-5 works for consideration along with their professional portfolio website or social media account. Ten artists will be selected for the critique by three leaders in the contemporary art field: Danielle Deery (Independent Curator), Patric Stillman (The Studio Door, Hillcrest), and a third juror to be confirmed. These jurors will run the in-person session on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, 6:00–9:00pm. Selected artists must be able to attend the event. Notifications of selected artworks will be announced on or before Friday, March 27, 2026.
Artwork may be in any media or style (3D, 2D, or video) and must be no larger than 96" in any direction. All work chosen must be presented ready for display. An artist statement, CV, and portfolio website or social media are required. The submission fee is $10 for 3-5 entries. Scholarships are available; contact [email protected] for consideration. Art lovers and artists curious about the critique process are encouraged to attend the session for free as observers, followed by a moderated audience Q&A session.
