Artist Alliance Juried Critique

Artist Alliance members are invited to submit their artwork for consideration in a professional critique session at Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA). This in-depth, constructive critique is aimed at mid-career, full-time artists. Artists must submit three works for consideration along with their professional portfolio website or social media account. Ten artists will be selected for the critique, with one artwork per artist, by jurors Jim Daichendt, L Crosky, and Irene Feiks, who will also run the in-person session.

Artwork may be in any media or style (3D, 2D, or video) and must be no larger than 120" in any direction. The artist must be able to transport the artwork to the museum. Artwork cannot be installed the night of the event; materials must be able to self-support or a rigid backing must be brought. Entry fee is $10 to submit three entries. Scholarships are available; contact [email protected] for consideration. Artists must be current OMA members with the Artist Alliance affiliate membership add-on to be eligible.

The critique session will take place on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 6:00–9:00pm at OMA. Notifications of selected artworks will be sent on or before Tuesday, March 25, 2025. Art lovers and artists are encouraged to attend as free observers. The critique will be followed by a moderated audience Q&A session. A CV and portfolio website or social media account are required for submission.
