About This Call
SebArts Artist Accelerator Program is designed to empower and support talented artists on their journey to establish themselves as successful and sustainable artists by providing professional development. This comprehensive program encompasses various aspects of their careers, from artistic development to financial management and community building. Generously sponsored by Creative Sonoma and the County of Sonoma, the program runs for 3 months from April 1 - June 30, 2026, with a cohort of 6 artists meeting for a minimum of 4 hours per week for weekly meetings and workshops, plus special events and exhibits.
The program includes six modules: Artistic Development (providing access to shared studio space in Sebastopol and monthly critique sessions), Branding and Marketing (headshots, website and social media support, artist statement assistance), Finances and Bookkeeping (workshops on budgeting, pricing artwork, and bookkeeping tools), Developing Collector Relationships (collector panels and networking events), Exhibiting (curatorial guidance and framing workshops), and Developing Community (artist gatherings and community engagement opportunities). Artists' work will be exhibited at SebArts during the cohort, and participants will have opportunities to present work at monthly critique salons open to the public.
Eligibility is limited to Sonoma County-based artists 18 years and older working in any artistic discipline, available from April 1 - June 30, 2026, and able to attend regular meetings at SebArts. Applications require an artist's narrative, work samples (2-10 images, up to 4 audio/video files), a letter of support, and a resume. The entry fee is $10.00 with an application deadline of January 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
