ARTiculate Beach House

The 6080 Collins Avenue Beach House Art Competition invites emerging local artists who reside in Miami-Dade County to submit imaginative, thoughtful, and themed pieces for display in the lobby of a new boutique hotel residence. Original artworks in the form of drawings, paintings, illustrations, photography, and digital art will be accepted. Three winners will each be awarded $2,500.

Winning artworks will be displayed in the hotel lobby, and giclées of the winners' works will be replicated to hang on the walls of each unit (70 in total). All entries have the opportunity to be displayed at the Bakehouse Art Complex during an artists' reception and winners' announcement. The competition will also be commemorated in a coffee-table style book.

Judges include the developers of 6080 Collins Avenue Beach House, artist and owner of art studio the Fun Palette Cari Cohen, and a representative from the Bakehouse Art Complex. The submission deadline is September 15, 2015. A public opening to unveil a collection of top competition entries will be held at the Bakehouse Art Complex on September 24 and is complimentary and open to the public. Entry fee: $20.00.
