About This Call
ArtFest Fort Myers, Southwest Florida's premier fine art festival, invites professional artists to submit artwork for consideration for the 2015 Festival Commemorative Poster. The festival takes place February 6-8, 2015 in Fort Myers, Florida.
Submissions must be two-dimensional original artwork reflecting Southwest Florida and appealing to a broad audience. Eligible categories include: Digital, Drawing/Pastels, Mixed Media 2-D, Painting (oil/acrylic), Painting (watercolor), and Printmaking. Artists may submit up to 10 images. The first 100 entries are free; subsequent entries are $10 each. Artwork must be adaptable for reproduction in 16 x 20 print format and on t-shirts. Selected artwork must be available in maximum quality JPEG format at 300 dpi resolution for 16" x 20" printing.
The selected poster artist receives: complimentary 10' x 10' booth space at the festival, complimentary 3-night stay at the Hyatt Place @ the Forum, invitation to the Poster Unveiling Party on January 2, 2015, 20 commemorative posters (unframed), 1 framed poster, 10 commemorative t-shirts, and 6 VIP packages. Promotional benefits include artist bio and website information on 7,000 festival programs, half-page print ads in The News-Press pre-festival and for 10 months following, News-Press.com ads, poster inclusion in other print media, showcase on ArtFestFortMyers.com with artist website link, and Facebook promotion from December 2014 to December 2015. Selected artists and collaborators must be present during the entire festival weekend and attend the Poster Unveiling Party. Commercial agents, dealers, manufacturers, and buy-sell vendors are not eligible.
