Artburst Studios: "Synapse" An Online Art Show Focused on Textiles and Fiber

Artburst Studios hosts online shows featuring high-quality artwork that promote connections between art lovers and artists. Shows are held multiple times per year, each lasting less than 72 hours and featuring up to 35 artists. Selected artists and their collections are presented through show graphics, individual artist profile pages, blog posts, and artist interviews.

The upcoming "Synapse" online show in September 2025 highlights textile and fiber artists. The show runs September 18-20, 2025. Selected artists will feature a collection of 10-12 original pieces created specifically for the show and available for purchase. All artwork sales take place on the Artburst website, and artists ship sold pieces directly to collectors at the conclusion of the show. The show will be curated by award-winning textile artist Lisa Call.

Application Requirements: Submit sample photos of 4-10 pieces of previous work (these will not be included in the show collection). A non-refundable application fee of $30 is required. If accepted, there are no additional fees for participation; Artburst Studios retains a 35% commission on all show sales. An artist statement of maximum 1000 characters is required. Artwork samples should be representative of the medium and style of pieces the artist will create for the show and can be images of previously created pieces, preferably within the last three years.

Eligibility: Open to all textile and fiber artists worldwide. All artwork must be original and entirely the work of the entrant, executed without instructor supervision. Pieces must not be copies or derivatives based on copyrighted materials; no reproductions or giclee prints will be considered. If accepted, artists must create new pieces (not previously advertised or promoted) specifically for the show, completed and ready for uploading one month prior to show dates. Artists must provide 10-12 pieces exclusively available for sale on the Artburst site during the show. Artwork of all sizes is acceptable; all pieces must be safely shippable. Artists set their own pricing and shipping fees.

Important Dates: Applications due March 18, 2025. Show artwork completion and uploading deadline: August 17, 2025. Online show and sale: September 18, 2025 10 am MST - September 20, 2025 4 pm MST. Artists under consideration may receive an invitation to meet online with an Artburst Leadership Team member to review show processes, timelines, and expectations.
