Artburst Studios: "Fancy That" Online Art Show

Artburst Studios hosts boutique-style online shows that prioritize high-quality artwork and promote meaningful connections between art lovers and artists. Shows are held multiple times per year, each lasting less than 72 hours and featuring up to 35 artists. Each selected artist will feature a collection of 10-12 original pieces created specifically for the show based on their own interpretation of the theme, available for purchase on the Artburst website. Artists ship sold pieces directly to collectors at the conclusion of the show.

The upcoming "Fancy That" show runs November 14-16, 2024. Applicants must submit 5-10 sample images of previous work, a non-refundable $30 application fee, and an artist statement (1000 characters maximum). Artwork samples should be representative of the medium and style but do not need to reflect the show theme. All visual artists worldwide are eligible. Accepted mediums include painting, drawing, encaustic, printmaking, photography, sculpture, jewelry, fiber arts, ceramic art, woodworking, glass art, beading, metalsmithing, paper/book arts, collage, and mixed media. AI-generated work will not be considered. All artwork must be original, executed without instructor supervision, and not copies or derivatives of copyrighted materials. No reproductions or giclee prints are accepted. Artwork of all sizes are acceptable provided pieces can be safely shipped.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Artists who advance to the second round will be contacted within 14 days of submission for an online meeting with Artburst Leadership Team to review processes, timelines, and the Artist Agreement. Selected artists will receive a formal acceptance letter within 48 hours of meeting. If accepted, artists must complete and upload 10-12 new, previously unadvertised pieces by October 13, 2024. Artburst Studios retains a 30% commission on all show sales. Artists set their own pricing and shipping fees. Upon acceptance, artists are required to attend informational sessions, meet deadlines, actively participate in show marketing efforts, and ship all sold pieces within 72 hours of the show's ending. Previous show statistics indicate average gross sales of $35,000+ per show, with 85% of artists achieving sales and average sales per artist of $1,400+ per show.
