Art Works Downtown: Small Works Exhibit

Art Works Downtown invites SF Bay Area artists to submit work for the Small Works Exhibit, juried by Alan Bamberger of artbusiness.com. Only works smaller than 18"x18"x18" (frame included) are eligible. All media welcome, but artwork must be original (no giclees or reproductions) and for sale.

Eligibility is limited to artists within 100 miles of San Rafael, California. The entry fee is $40 for up to 3 entries, with discounts available for AWD Artist Members. Submit 1-3 work samples (images and/or video) via callforentry.org only; hardcopy, email, and disk submissions are not accepted. Entries are due November 1, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists will be notified by email or phone by November 7 or 8. Accepted work must be hand-delivered to Art Works Downtown classroom at 1337 Fourth St., San Rafael on November 15 between 10am and 4pm. Wall-hung work must be securely wired, and artists must provide an artist statement and resume. The reception is December 12, 5-8pm. Unsold work can be picked up January 3 between 10am and 4pm; works not retrieved after 30 days will become property of Art Works Downtown.

Art Works Downtown retains a 40% donation upon sale. Coverage for exhibited work is based on insured value entered on the entry form; artists may provide additional insurance. AWD permits use of accepted images for promotions. For more information, call (415) 451-8119 or email [email protected].
