Art Westport 2026 - 46th Annual

Art Westport is Kansas City's only outdoor art show and festival exclusively for local artists. Produced by the Westport Regional Business League, the event takes place September 11-13, 2026, in the historic Westport District. The show features painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry, pottery, and more. Artists must reside within an 80-mile radius of the downtown Kansas City, MO post office to be eligible. A maximum of 150 visual artists will participate, though the final number may be smaller based on jury decisions.

The application deadline is May 31, 2026. The $35 non-refundable application fee must accompany each application. Applicants must submit five images of their artwork (one image per slide) and one image of their proposed or past booth. Images should be current (no older than three years), high-resolution, and clearly represent the type and quality of work intended for display. Artists may apply in no more than two categories, with a separate application and fee required for each category and substantially different work required for each. If both applications are accepted, two booth spaces must be purchased and work must be shown in separate booths.

Booth spaces are 10'x10' at $480 (full booth, no tent included) or $700 (corner booth at Westport Road and Pennsylvania Avenue intersection, no tent included). Artists must be present during the entire event and personally staff their booth. Only work approved by the jury may be displayed. Original art must occupy more than 50% of booth space. All hanging work must be suitably framed. An Emerging Artist Program is available for artists with no past experience exhibiting and selling artwork in commercial or community art shows; accepted emerging artists receive mentoring and a tent provided by Westport. Event hours: Friday 4pm-9pm, Saturday 10am-9pm, Sunday 11am-5pm. The show proceeds rain or shine with no refunds for inclement weather.
