Art Westport 2025 - 45th Annual

Art Westport is Kansas City's only outdoor art show and festival exclusively for local artists, celebrating its 45th year on September 5, 6 and 7, 2025. Located in the historic Westport District, the event provides a backdrop for high-quality exhibitions of painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry, pottery and more. Artists must reside within an 80-mile radius of downtown Kansas City, MO post office to be eligible to apply. A maximum of 150 visual artists will participate, with the final number determined by jury decisions.

The application requires a $35 non-refundable fee and submission of five images of artwork plus one booth image. Images must be current (no older than three years) and high-resolution for best jury scoring. Artists may apply in no more than two categories with separate applications and fees required for each. The show runs Friday 4pm-9pm, Saturday 10am-9pm, and Sunday 11am-5pm, rain or shine with no weather refunds.

An Emerging Artist Program is available for artists with no prior commercial art show experience, offering mentoring and a provided tent upon acceptance. All artists must be present during the entire event and personally staff their booth space. Only work in jury-approved categories may be displayed, with original art occupying more than 50% of booth space. The event provides 24-hour security but is not responsible for loss or damage to artwork or equipment.
