Art Through The Lens 2021

Art Through the Lens 2021 is an international juried photography exhibition open to all without restrictions on content. The exhibition provides photographers an outlet for their art, encouragement for growth in their vision and presentation, and cash rewards for works of exceptional merit. Artists may submit up to 20 entries. All photo-based imagery created through photographic processes is eligible, including non-lens made images. All work submitted must be original, completed in the last three years, and not previously exhibited in an Art Through the Lens (or Paducah Photo) exhibition. Size restrictions apply: no single work may be more than 6 feet in width and 8 feet in height without advanced approval from YAC.

From works submitted, 50-70 images are selected for exhibition by a highly qualified juror. $2,000 in cash awards will be given to works of high merit: First Place $1,000, Second Place $500, Third Place $250, and two Honorable Mentions at $125 each. The entry fee is $10 per submission ($5 for Yeiser Art Center members). Entries are submitted solely online through CaFE. The deadline to enter is August 22, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Accepted entries will be notified by September 2, 2021, with artwork delivery required by September 18, 2021 at 5pm. The exhibition will be on display from October 2 – November 13, 2021 at the Yeiser Art Center, located at 200 Broadway in Paducah, Kentucky's historic 1905 Market House building.

Yeiser Art Center is a non-profit visual arts organization celebrating over sixty years of serving the community with exhibitions and education throughout the Tri-State Region. Sales are encouraged but not required; the gallery will retain a 40% commission on all sales. Work will be insured for the duration of the exhibition for the value of the work or 60% of the retail price. Artists are responsible for insuring their work during transit.
