About This Call

Las Laguna Gallery is seeking submissions from artists creating works of art that tell stories. The gallery is looking for innovative works that convey anecdotes, narratives, plotlines, or parables. An anecdote is a short and amusing or interesting story about a real incident or person. A narrative is a spoken or written account of connected events; a story. Plotlines are the things that happen in a book or movie that advance the plot. Parables are simple stories used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson. Works can be open-ended, allowing the viewer to draw their own conclusions, or designed to tell a specific story.

Works must be able to be hung on a wall. No work that requires special installation or instructions will be accepted. Each entry must be original work. This call is open to local, national, and international artists, professional and amateur.

Entry fee is $35.00, with an additional $5.00 media fee for each image beyond the first. Submit 1-20 images. Las Laguna Gallery encourages sales of work and charges a 35% commission. If your work is not for sale, clearly mark NFS on your application. For questions, contact [email protected].
