Art Students League of Denver, delecTABLE: The Fine Art of Dining

Juried show dedicated to enhancing the presentation and exhibit of functional ceramics, focusing on the fine art of dining, including place settings, serving vessels and platters, and dinner table décor. Proceeds from the sale of work and associated fundraising dinner events will benefit the Art Students League of Denver and its ceramics program.

Open to ceramic artists who are residents of the 50 United States and Washington DC. Entry fee is $30 (nonrefundable). Artists must submit five functional pieces that would be included at a dinner table, such as place settings, serving vessels, platters, functional sets, or dinner table décor. Work must be innovative and original in design, made entirely of ceramic materials (with limited exceptions for integral parts like handles or knobs). Pieces must have been completed within the past three years and not exceed 30 inches in any dimension or 20 pounds in weight. All accepted work must be available for sale; the League will retain a 40% commission on works sold.

Submit five images (maximum 1920 x 1920 pixels, baseline JPEG format, under 1.8 MB each) representative of the work, along with title, dimensions, price, date made, materials and techniques description, artist bio (500 characters), artist statement (1,000 characters), and artist website if available. Juror: Nick Joerling. Exhibition dates: April 6-27, 2012. Fundraising dinners: April 13-14, 2012. Exhibit reception: April 20, 2012.
