Art St. Louis XXXVIII, The Exhibition

Art St. Louis XXXVIII, The Exhibition is the 38th annual juried exhibition highlighting original artworks by St. Louis regional artists. Works in all media, themes, subjects, techniques, and styles are considered. The exhibition will be presented at Art Saint Louis, 1223 Pine Street in downtown St. Louis, MO 63103, from November 5-December 15, 2022. The Gallery is open Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.-3 p.m., closed Sundays and holidays. A free reception and awards ceremony will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, 5-7 p.m.

Eligibility is open to artists 18 years of age and older living in the St. Louis, Missouri region and surrounding 200-mile radius. Artists must be residents of the St. Louis region/200-mile radius when the show begins on November 5, 2022. The entry deadline is August 15, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fees are $35.00 for non-members and $20.00 for Art Saint Louis members. Submit 1-10 images and/or 0-5 videos (1-10 total samples). Artworks must be created/completed between 2018-2022, not previously exhibited at Art Saint Louis, and not exhibited in any juried exhibit in the St. Louis region during the 3 months prior to the exhibit dates. Limit 5 original artworks per artist.

The juror is Jennifer Perlow of PS Art Consulting, with 20 years of experience in the arts. The jurying process is conducted blind/anonymously, with the juror viewing only artwork information (title, year, media, dimensions, display method, and optional artist statement) without artist names. Awards of Excellence will be selected by the juror, including one $250 Best of Show Award of Excellence and four non-cash Awards of Excellence. Up to 3 Honorable Mentions will also be awarded. Award of Excellence recipients will be eligible for the Honor Awards 2024 ten-artist curated exhibit presented at Art Saint Louis, June 7-July 11, 2024. Artwork specifications include size limits (final installation size not to exceed 72"w x 72"h including frame), weight limits (2-d wall-installed works not to exceed 30 lbs), and specific display requirements for various media types.
