Art St. Louis XXXI, The Exhibition

Art St. Louis XXXI, The Exhibition is a juried exhibition featuring artworks in all media, techniques, styles, and themes. The exhibition is open to artists 21 years of age and older living in the St. Louis, Missouri region and surrounding 200-mile radius. Artists from Chicago, IL and Kansas City, MO are not eligible as these areas are further than 200 miles from the St. Louis region.

The juror is Porter Arneill, Director of Arts and Culture for the city of Lawrence, Kansas. The exhibition will be held at Art Saint Louis Gallery in downtown St. Louis, MO (1223 Pine Street) from November 7-December 23, 2015. A free reception will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, 6-9 p.m. Five non-cash Awards of Excellence will be selected by the juror. Award recipients will receive a one-year complimentary Artist level membership in Art Saint Louis and will be eligible for the Honor Awards 2016 exhibit (Summer 2016).

Artists may submit up to 5 original artworks completed between 2012-2015 in all media, styles, themes, and techniques. Works must not have been previously exhibited in Art Saint Louis Gallery or in any juried exhibit in the St. Louis region during the 6 months prior to the exhibit dates. Entry fee is $45 for non-members or $25 for Art Saint Louis members. Judging is done by JPEGs online only. Limit 2 JPEGs per artwork: 1 full view is required and either 1 detail or 1 alternate view. JPEG files must be in focus, free of watermarks or name imprints, free of time-date stamps, minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, and 5MB maximum file size. Video submissions are also accepted (up to 5 videos). All artworks must either have a sale price or be marked Not for Sale. Sales are through Art Saint Louis with 30% commission to ASL and 70% to the artist. Artworks are insured at 50% of retail value during the exhibit. The deadline to submit works is July 31, 2015 (11:59 MST).
