Art Spectacular - Thomas Rees Memorial Carillon - Springfield Illinois 2025

The 20th-annual Art Spectacular at the Carillon is held outdoors on the lawn of the beautiful Botanical Garden at Washington Park in Springfield, IL, featuring up to 60 professional artists. Each artist displays original and limited edition artwork in a variety of media. The event includes patron bucks, demos, kids' art sale, kid's activities, music, silent auction, gift basket raffle and food vendors. Artist awards total $1,300. Hours are Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 10-4.

Booth fees are $250 for 12x12 booths, $325 for corner/end booths, and $575 for 24x12 booths. Application fee is $35, with a $50 late fee after March 31st. Booths are spaced 3 feet apart and electricity is not provided. Artists must be present for all advertised hours and are required to donate original, kid-appropriate artwork for the Kids' Art Sale or provide a $30 cash donation. Only original work in design and concept by the artist is allowed, with reproductions limited to 40% of exhibited work.

Art Spectacular is a fundraiser for the Thomas Rees Memorial Carillon, which boasts 67 cast bronze bells covering 5 1/2 chromatic octaves with a total weight of 82,753 pounds. The carillon was cast by the 300-year-old bell foundry of Petit & Fritsen, Ltd., in The Netherlands. Cash awards totaling $1,300 will be presented based on originality, technical execution, overall quality and booth presentation.
